Try not to over use "I".

Example of mine:

In the long days of summer, it was common to find me laying in the tall grass looking at the clouds trying to guess which animal were floating by in the beautiful blue sky.

Tell a story, not a journal entry. got it? Have fun!

Read lots of autobiographies until you grasp the style. Or magazine articles, if that is the length you are talking about. Before you can write, you must read.

imagine that you were talking to someone on the phone and you wanted to tell them all about this experience you had. Write what you would say on the phone
