1. I've learnt some really dirty, pervy things about guys on Yahoo. 'Nuff said!

2. They seem to really worry about the size of their ding-dong - or else they say it is 15 inches.

3. They are less fussy than women, because when it asks a question about "what guys like", they answer less often than women, and give shorter and less specific answers. Women seem to have an entire shopping list of things they want in a man - guys just seem to want someone who's not fat, not ugly, not stupid, and is nice.

4. They suffer emotionally worse than women a lot of the time when relationships go wrong.

5. They have a wicked sense of humour - in both senses of the word. Most of the really silly, funny posts on YA are from guys.

6. A lot of them are REALLY angry toward women, and sometimes when I read their posts, I can sympathise with their position. From what I can read, some guys are getting a raw deal from women.

I've learned that there are more women who are actually willing to accept equal responsibility along with equal rights than I thought. That my sister and mother are not the best representations of the female demographic.

I've learned that anonymity breeds honesty more often than not. Sometimes for good, sometimes for bad, but sincerity non-the-less... far more often, sadly, than the real world.

I've also learned that there is just about an equal level or misogyny and misandry is both genders. However, if I had to give a nod, I'd say there is more misandry than misogyny - knowing full well that the interpretation is through my own lens and that the output and impact of both problems isn't immediately obvious and can be quite subtle.

(prime example - you misspell the word for hatred of women and spell check will correct you. you misspell the word for hated of men, it will correct you - no matter how you change it - thanks for contributing to the problem yahoo - how incredibly politically correct of you)

I've learned there is a lot to learn for both genders - including the universal yahoo rule - people would rather their own opinion is supported rather than argued against - no matter how strong the irrefutable evidence to the contrary of their opinion may be. Yahoo answers is more of a "agree with me" rather than "give me compelling answers to my questions" site - look at the downflags and best answers and reports - if you are oblivious to this fact, you are blind.

What I've learned about both men and women in Yahoo in general is that there is far too much hatred among both genders. Although I've met many wonderful, open-minded, well-balanced people as well. :) It's always refreshing to meet someone like this.

That sad thing about all this is that those who are full of hate still want to fall in love and get married. What kind of parents do you think they'll make? I would like to know if it's possible to marry a hater who hates as much as the person who they're attracted to and have the marriage survive?

What do you suppose the marriage will be like?

I've learned that the females answering questions on YA are not representative of women in general. I've learned that there are some areas where seeing each individual person (male or female) as such is more appropriate, and to stereotype is counterproductive. I've learned there are other areas where men and women are different, one gender is better than the other, that there are signs of extreme manifestations of these shortcomings, and that working on your own problems will help you avoid these damaged people more than any other single thing.

That there are a lot more men who hate women than I previously thought...it's been pretty shocking, overall...I'm not even talking about the "tradition" minded men, I have no problem with them...I mean men who just plain HATE half of the population.

Previously, I had no idea there was so much hatred against women! I wasn't aware of how many men desire to intrude on the lives of complete strangers and stop us from being able to have careers and money and power of our own. Hopefully many opinions are written out of temporary anger, and are not the person's true feelings. However, I know in my case, a lot of what I write on here are my true feelings about things that I feel I can't discuss in real life.
I thought all of society had come a long way since the 50's, but clearly there are many people (some women included) who believe that women belong as second class citizens.

I expected the men to be more sexual and have really silly questions and the woman to be grounded and have through provoking questions. So in fact I have learnt to shed my stereotypes and not to have an expectations.

Everybody is a fool in someone’s opinion.

That there were a lot more woman that hated men than I origionally thought.

I also learned that there is a greater % of women who call themselves feminists who don't hate men than I origionally thought.

These may seem contradictory, but their not.

That though there are still too many women who are ideologically driven, that the number of women who are evolutionarily informed seems to be growing. Even in this, the social science section.

Nothing new really. Some seem to be fun and sweet here and there is an intelligent one and others must be damaged beyond repair. Draecoira its hard for me to believe that somebody who calls herself a feminist and chooses a face full of scorn as an avatar has thought highly of ANY man since she left daddies lap. A feminist cant think highly of men or even have compassion for them its an oxymoron.
