My computer will not recognize my printer, usb jump drives, or the speakers. How can I fix it ?

Go to the manufacturer's website for your printer and jump drive and download the corresponding driver for your operating system. As far as your speakers though, speakers aren't "recognized". It they are plugged in, powered on, and with the volume turned up they just work. You may want to check your sound card. Right click on My computer => Properties => Device Manager. Look for any symbols that represent an "Unknown Device" This verifies that the computer recognizes what's connected to it, but it just quite doesn't know what it is. This is where the drivers come in. Good Luck.

Hi. Computers do not 'recognize' speakers under any conditions, so it may actually not be detecting your soundcard. Try running "Add new hardware". Start> Control panel> Add new hardware>. If that doesn't work then you may have a bad trace on the motherboard or something. Try reinstalling the OS. Good luck.

if your printer or any other thing u want to hook up to your computer came wit a disk then u should insert it so that u can set it up and the new hardware can be added. if it's a technical problem then call the company for assistance

Sounds like something may have happened with your drivers. Right click on your "my computer" icon, then click "properties". Now click "harware" and then click "devise manager". open each of your hardwares at the plus (+) sign, right click on each one, and select "update driver". let windows select and install the drivers automaticly. right click on my computer,
select properties..
go to hardware..
select device manager and find universal serial bus controller.
It will have an exclamation mark if there is a problem. (!)
it will also tell you whats wrong.. ish
