Don't listen to what the hospital people say. They may have years of medical training but it's all "going down the hall to look it up in a book"...which was written by people you'll never meet. Rose hip tea is best for helping nerves which would help because the more nervous & un-relaxed u are the more the baby is going to get that connection & not feel ready for the tough trip ahead. but if you want contractions good n plenty then try blue cohosh tea. Sadly to say this is commonly used in europe to induce abortion, but it won't harm the fetus, it just causes a hormonal reaction that forces whatever's in there out. The best I can tell you is to relax and try to go the most natural way possible...this will encourage the baby to do whatever he or she knows he or she has to without your stress hormones or artificially introduced things to twist things up. If u wanna talk more just message. Hope this helps. & Congrats!!!!!!!!!!

Just relax! She's on her way out. If she's not out by your next doctor appointment then ask your doctor to strip your membranes. That should help a little bit. It shouldn't be much longer if you're 2 and 80 and a minus 2 station. Don't be suprised if she comes in the next day or so. I was in the same situation and the doctor stripped my membranes on a Tuesday and I had my baby that Friday morning. Good Luck!
And a lot of people will tell you to have sex, they told me the same thing, and I'm sure that's the last thing you wanna do right now. I was the same way! All you want is your baby out!!

lol bad Idea dont have sex well something I use myself because when I get bad cramps during my period is a liquid called castrol oil its a homeopathic remedy it really helps relax your muscles I have heard from someone I know that if you are in labour it can help the muscles relax and it should help the contractions but at the same time it should help with the pain. you can buy it at a health food store or a pharmacy. you pour some onto a towel or wash cloth and put it on your belly oil side down then you heat up something warm like a heating pad or microwavable thing I use a heatable bag that has corn in it. Anway then just put it on top of the towel and just sit down and relax.Get someone to get you some it really helps! good luck

you just need to wait it out, some herbs are not good for you or the baby...after a week of the baby being here you will be saying I want her back in...so just enjoy it for now. Stop thinking about how to get her out and relax. She will be here before you know it.
Have you got everything ready? If not that would be something to do to keep your mind off of going into labor. Also sit indian style on the floor. That should give her lots of room to do what she needs to do to come out.

its raspberry leaf tea...but it didnt work for me. Try evening primrose oil. i have heard others swear by it. I am almost 37 weeks, 3 cm , 50% effaced and her head is -1 station.....I feel for you girl and have been doing the whole walking thing too. My daughter was born at 37w2d so i am hoping for another early bird. Also try sex...i have heard a few people tell me that worked for them too. Cant hurt to try and good luck!

I wish I could tell you that something works but nothing does. I had two babies who were both 9 days overdue and you can bet that I did EVERYTHING- sex, walked, exercise, bumpy road ride, nothing works. Your baby's just not ready yet. Let me warn you, there are certain suggestions that could be harmful to your baby, don't do them. It's not worth risking your baby's life. Don't feel bad about not dilating much, I didn't dilate until I was actually in labor all 4 times. Good luck.

Get a pedicure! I went to get one when I was pregnant, but they refused because there is a pressure point in the ankles that induces labor. Also have sex. Ask your doctor first though cuz I'm not sure with you being dialated and all.

Well the best thing to do ( I know it is agonizing) is to let nature take its course. If you are not further dilated within a certain amount of time your doctor will start you on pitocin, and then she will be out in your arms. Good luck with your little bundle of joy.

Raspberry leaf tea. Primrose oil is also used.
I have seen women take castor oil and then repeated the castor oil in 12 hours....if they make it to 12 hours later.
Make sure you keep drinking that water.
