For post feminists the catch cry is "I'll be a post feminist in a post patriarchy". Feminism has changed over time but also there has been a mass swing or backlash against feminism in the "modern western world" as you say. When you write this "mythical modern western world" do you take into account the thousands apon thousands of women who live in underprivlegded conditions, in lower socio-economic environments and who have across the board STILL NOT GOT EQUAL PAY FOR EQUAL WORK.
There are some white middle class feminists who believe that they have "won" some of the "rights" of equality. But then, there are lots of non-white middle class women who realise that even within feminism there are inequalities and power imbalances between women. This answer is a tough one.
Feminism isnt simply a matter of equal rights. Feminism is a movement that looks at how different women are oppressed by the "patriarchy" (meaning rule of the father). Some feminists want more than simply "equality" for one group of middle class white women. Some feminists want to attack the structures of inequality and oppression by focusing on educating people about human liberation and equal rights. Meaning equal rights for all people. Therefore, feminism isn't only about women's issues, because men are feminists too.
Simplified, some of the "so-called" issues of the modern western world are:
*Campaigns against the traffickingm abduction and slavery of women and children
Human trade, slave markets, the buying and selling of people – these are words and phrases that, to many people, echo a brutal and distant time in our past. But to the countless women, men, and children trafficked every year, these words coldly define the horror of their lives. Trafficking is a global phenomenon where victims are sexually exploited, forced into labor and subjected to abuse. Trafficking is a crime under international law that requires international cooperation to address.
*Campaigns to Stop Violence Against Women (not only violence, but stop violating women has objects, such as in advertising and billboards)
Domestic violence happens everywhere. It affects someone near you.
At least 1 in 3 women has been beaten, coerced into sex, or otherwise abused in her lifetime. Usually, the abuser is a member of her own family or someone known to her.
Be an activist against domestic violence!
* Campaigns to educate young women on Body Issue Problems, such as Anorexia and Eating Disorders
You don't have to go very far to notice that the ideal for women's bodies at present is a thin, fit, radiantly healthy, young, white woman. Just open a magazine, an advertising supplement to the Times, wait for a bus or subway, or merely walk down the street. The message of what we should look like is everywhere. The inescapable presence of these images shape our images of our own bodies, especially as women.
The media images we see of women offers us the "ideal." These women seem middle or upper-class by virtue of their expensive clothes, and are almost always white. Women seen outside the home are typically "attractive" and occupy jobs where they never seem to have to work. There are hardly any pictures of African American, Asian American or Native American women in advertisements aimed at the "general" population although they may be found if advertisers wish to "target" a group in a specific "ethnic area."
These are only a few and there are many other issues such as "A woman's right to choose", and gaining legal precidents for change in the workplace.

i believe the conception in the back of it is been eviserated with the aid of hate mongering from females who search for no longer some thing more desirable than to tear adult adult males down completely. immediately we've those who're advertising hate for the sake of it and filing fake sexual harrasement matches and or restraining orders that are displaying females abuse the equipment only as a lot as adult adult males used to. the conception of Feminisim as i discussed it; became that females did no longer ought to marry to be seen equivalent. although i have stated females marrying only to divorce after, taking 0.5 and transferring precise alongside. interior the technique of ruining the mans life the little ones are subjected to an aimless destiny without good parenting. This has led to a serious decline interior the moral structure of relatives values. causing a small area of yank adult adult males to seek females in yet another usa. ultimately it receives better yet American females are overwhelmed with each and every of the capacity and duty they have. And an overpowering majority have too short a fuse to be seen heavily for marriage or parenthood presently.

Women have no issues to complain about, compared to men.
The vast majority of violence is male to male.
Women receive the same pay, for working less hours.
Men die 5 yrs. earlier. Soon we will have a gendercide.

Women want the same as men. They want to be loved, valued and respected. They do not want to be treated as inferior citizens who have to submit to the male will nor do they want men to think that they are inferior. They want to be judged professionally on their merits not whether they are attractive and young.

salaries still aren't the same. we still have to keep fighting to keep autonomy over our bodies. pornography and sex trade. rape and molestation. general attitudes: that a woman isn't a good as a man & can't do the same things, that women should be 'barefoot and pregnant' and submissive to their husbands/fathers.
much like racism, mysogony is raging under the surface.
