Wow, you are asking a very serious question here and from what I can see it looks like nobody wants to answer it. So I will take the initiative.

Yes. I am very happy with my Man/Family. We are equals in this life and that is what everybody needs. He does not feel he is any better than me and visa versa. He may want to cook dinner every night himself but I can get under the car and change the breaks just as easily. So I guess to actually answer your question if I am reading it properly I would have to say yes. He is still a provider but so am I we both bring equal parts to the table and what one cannot do for another, the other makes up for in their own manner. Equality, compatibility, and compromise are the three most important words in a relationship in our opinion. Either that or I have all control and he just plays along with my equality theory.

I honestly feel that sometimes Women's Lib lies to us women. "If we say it often enough, the women will believe it thus making it our reality."

This leaves women open to dressing in such a way or walking down dark lonely back roads and BAM, along comes a perv.

It also has been known to cause a high divorce rate.

It would be nice if all men would agree that women should have the right to walk down the street without being hit over the head with a baseball bat and drug off in to some bushes. But lets face it, the Rape statistics are hideous.

However, that being said, I am used to this lifestyle. My spouse and I have been married 8 yrs and together for 10 yrs. I do enjoy our setup. We have our own agreements about things with each other... not women's lib or old world values that guide us in our marriage. We have tailored our circumstances specifically for us.

well i am happy but i do have to stop and thinking a lot what do i want more my career or a husband and a family. i have friends who chose careers that would let them have both, but not mine. mine forces me to chose. and right now I'm working on the career but i do have to remind my self a lot that one day be for I'm a "spinster" i need to stop and relax and work on a family. sadly to insure or try to insure this i have a well a time line for my life. such and such a thing will be done by this date and by this birthday if this hasn't happened we switch to plan B. so i may not always be happy but i am content enough not to be actively working on changing my circumstances.

It only looks like freedom. It isn't really. How can you be free in such painful shoes?
