Plyometrics are hard to do, so you'll want to start slowly with them. Take a low wooden box or something about a foot high. Stand in front of it and jump up onto it. Then jump back down, but when you land, in one smooth motion bend your knees to about 100 degrees (to tense your quadriceps and gluteus) and immediately jump hard back onto the box. Do that ten times, then rest. Repeat.
Get two boxes, each a foot high. In one smooth motion jump from one box to the ground, bend your knees to 100 degrees and immediately jump as hard as you can onto the other box.
Go skipping (unless you have a great deal of ego strength, you might want to do this at night. People can misunderstand), but skip as hard and as high and as far forward as you can.
Always keep your balance, and keep your ankles as locked as you can. If you insist on not using weights, you'll have to take risks with plyometrics, because while they are excellent for building muscle and strength, you can get injured fairly easily. All it'll take is a moment's inattention, a loss of concentration, and you could strain a tendon or sprain an ankle. You'll need to sweat and pant to do this, but you can do it.
