Its perfectly normal i was the same. Only up until about 8 weeks i kept thinking i was going to have a period and if im honest i started to think that i was seeing things when the test came up that i was pregnant because i had the usual cramps etc. I would just keep an eye on it though and if it does get any worse or doesn't clear up after about 6-8 weeks go see the doctor. Good Luck and congratulations! x

YES YES YES, this certainly happened to me, infact when I was first pregnant (before I tested) I said to my Doctor, Look im late on my period but feel like im due to come on anytime, but could i be pregnant? He said that no, if I felt like I was due on then Id come on in a few days, having said that since Ive been on here Ive read that countless women go through this, including me as my Doctor was wrong and I was indeed pregnant. I even had a bleed at 6 weeks but still maintained the pregnancy...it was just scary for me as my first two pregnancies were so unlike this one. But I guess it happens a lot. Even last month (when i would have been two months pregnant) I had all my usual pre-menstral symptoms, Cramps backaches etc but no period. Im half expecting to get this all again in two weeks when i would be due on again. Ive heard this is all most common within the first trimester. Goodluck x

I don't know if its normal or not, but I kept feeling like I was going to start my period. Now I didn't have severe cramping, just enough to be noticable. Also I felt bloated. And my breasts were sensitive, which also happened to me when I went on my period. Check your bras and see if they are snugger than usual. That was the big give away for me. In fact I went up a whole cup size on my 5th week. Then I started being hungry every 2 hours. So yeah, ask your doctor to check if your pregnant. If you don't have insurance, there are places that will do it for free.

Firstly, Congratulations on being pregnant!!!

I has this with both my pregnancies. I felt that my period was about to start and would go to the toilet constantly to check.
When I believed 100% that I was pregnant, I kept on thinking that the baby was falling out! It wasn't of course but its a worrying time the first 12 weeks. Good Luck!

I wasn't due for my period yet, but decided to take one just for the fun of it, because my hubby and I have been trying for a third child, but hasn't worked. The test came back positive. When I was due for my period, I had very bad backaches (I usually get them when I have my periods), no other symptoms. No period though. But the pain went away in three days just like when I'm on my period. So it's normal.

I thought I was the only one feeling that way, and didn't want to ask. I am 5 wks 4 days and I had the exact same feeling. Mild cramps, breast tenderness, and bloating, but my period never came. My OB GYN said it was absolutely normal just so long as it is not followed by bleeding or the cramps don't become sever. Good Luck and Congrats!

Yes, with all my 3 pregnancies I felt like I was going to get my period. Crampy, breast tenderness and just that feeling that period should be there any second! And then it never came! If you took 3 pregnancy tests, then you are pregnant!! Congrats!!

I constantly felt like I was going to get my period before I even took the test! I was always running to the bathroom to check! I'm sure it's normal. Congratulations!

Okay, if the tests say you're pregnant, you're pregnant. The likelihood of a false postive is very low. You probably feel like you're going to get your period because of increased blood flow to the area, normal heavier discharge, or your mind knows that it should be here.
