Do you know someone working in biology fields (biochem, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, etc)?

whose major in college was unrelated to those fields of study

One of the professors at my university has a degree in English, but wasn't happy with his job, so he got a PhD in (molecular?) Biology. He always discusses literature and poetry with me since I'm a Bio and English double major.

I have a good friend who got his Ph.D. in genetics and his Bachelors in Philosophy. Another Ph.D. geneticist friend got his degree in math.
