I need to write a persuasive essay and I wanted a debatable topic...something besides gay marriage, abortion, the war, and the regular....I wanted it to be interesting, but I just can't find anything. Help would be much appreciated!

A topic that is often under spoken is the controlling of automatic weapons. Why do we need these kind of weapons in our nation? If we aren't fighting a war on our nation's ground, we shouldn't have to carry such a weapon for any reason....unless we WANT to kill a bunch of innocent people. Haven't we killed enough innocent children already in this country?

2, 5, 6 8 year olds being shot for walking in front of their house while a drive by shooting aimed poorly. A 4 year old killed in his own bed as the bullets penetrated through the side of his house, entered his bedroom and killed him while he lay asleep in bed.

If you don't think that this is enough reason to ban guns, then please tell me what number of people, or even children have to die before we say, ENOUGH! We can't be trusted with guns anymore, so a few hundred users spoiled it for 300 million people.

That should be enough to get a start on your essay.

Most people believe you HAVE to have them to live. (Read Ramsey, Burkett on why you don't, read Orman why you do.)
