All is not lost. Speak as soon as possible with the instructor for this course. Go to his or her department and make an immediate appointment. Discuss exactly what you have said here. A catch-up plan will be established. Chill. Go make the appointment. Take advantage of the second chance.

Yes, me. I joined the military, and was home schooled for the last 2 years of high school. My home school teacher gave me A's for "effort" so I never gave much effort. When I was in high school, I never stayed in class. The last time I studied algebra was as a freshmen in high school. While in the military I realized how important an education is, so I decided to go to school instead. I didn't have time while in the military, so I started college after. So basically, it has been 7 years since I picked up an algebra book, when I went back to college.
Believe me if you feel behind, you're not as bad as me. I failed my first math class because the teacher I had was a jerk and would not teach for sht. I don't know why we even had to show up to class! We did all our work on a computer, which could have been done at home. I didn't like her very much. I took an algebra class again with a teacher that actually TAUGHT algebra, and I passed with a B. I took a break from math and took other classes, and am now in the next level of algebra, which is pretty much the same thing I learned the last time I was in an algebra class, but a little bit harder. And guess what?! Everything I learned just one year ago, I forgot! So in this class I am relearning everything, again! So far on my tests I am getting Bs...
What is discouraging for me is that there are high school kids in my class... I really regret not taking my education seriously when I was younger, but I am working my way back up. A lot of people forget math. I ask the majority of my friends or relatives for help with my algebra, and you know what? Only ONE of my friends can help me. The only other person next to him that can help me is my sister in high school... And if you feel bad, try getting help from your younger sister.... Well, for the most part, I ask my friend for help (it's far less degrading).

i'm no longer addressing all your questions, yet could advise: a million. coming up solid learn conduct, 2. getting the terrific grades you may, 3. partaking in greater-curricular activities to grow to be a properly-rounded individual, and, 4. do no longer beat your self up over identifying on the instant on your existence's artwork . i'm purely guessing, yet think of which you have till the top of your sophomore 365 days in undergraduate college to elect. although, confirm you verify the scientific college catalog to confirm which you're taking the pre-needful courses.

That happened to me. I looked back at my old tests from high school and that jogged my memory a bit.
