Apparantly the last two people don't know the difference between 9.0 and 9.0c. For one thing 9.0 uses Shader Model 2.0 and 9.0c uses Shader Model 3.0. For the record, the 9600XT supports 9.0, but NOT 9.0c.

Yes, according to AMD/ATi the card does support directx 9. If you are looking for an upgrade to vista, you should be able to do it.

Yes, it has support for directx 9 and older. But it's not very fast compared to other video cards. (www.tomshardware.com) It all matters what are you trying to do?
