I was just wondering because one of my friends told me this today. I wanted to know if it was true because every time I get done with my iPod, I wrap the earbuds around the iPod and just throw it in my purse. Does a vertical vs. horizontal wrap matter??

No. I've had my iPod for about a year and this has never happened to me. Like you, I always wrap the earbuds around the iPod and it's never done anything bad. Hope this helps.

I don't think so...I do it all the time and have had no trouble - had my iPod over a year now without issue. I can see how it might tug the wiring out of the socket or something...possibly, but not a major thing :)
