It depends on how long you go back for system restore. I don't think that most files are bothered Just to make sure I would back them up on a CD or USB.

System Restore uninstalls programs and changes back settings that you have made between now and the time you're restoring to. It does not delete files that are new, unless they're the program files of the software it's uninstalling. To be safe, I'd back them up on a CD, DVD or other external storage.

If they are new files and u restore it to a later date U might looose them but if they are older than the date u restore the computer to then they will stay

None of ur saved files will be affected. Only the windows files, registry entries and installed softwares and games will be changed.
U might need the setup files of those softwares if u need to reinstall them.
