A kiss, a look, a touch, a smile, a laugh, a note, a letter, a card. A letter from someone that you never expected to get a letter from. All of these things make me very happy. Even an e-mail from a special someone.

The smile of my granddaughter. The laugh of my grandson. My husband starting my car when it's 19 degrees. My friends calling to let me know they were thinking of me. I could go on and on. Small things make me the happiest.

When my dog licks my hand when he wants attention
When my husband strokes my hair as he walks by
When I'm up by myself really late at night with a good book and a nice cup of tea
