With my first pregnancy... didn't need them. But believe me, I paid for it with back pain. He was sitting so far back, you could barely tell I was pregnant because I have a large bust. All I had to do was wear sweatpants at home, and then unbutton the top 2 buttons on my button down jeans, and fold in the corners. Most of my shirts were already big enough to accomodate my bust.

With my second.... whoa baby!!! My daughter stuck out so much that I needed a little, triangular, red flag to mark where the end of me was. I started wearing the maternity pants around 4 months, and was in the shirts around 6 months. I bought a few cheap XL t-shirts so that I could use them as night shirts afterwards, and wore them around the house. I found a few decent shirts on ebay for going out in. Maternity clothes are expensive for the amount of time you have to wear them.

I showed supper early with my first child.. I was wearing maternity clothes by week 12. I mostly at that point was just in jeans because I saw no point in buying "fat" pants when I could wear comfy maternity jeans.
I pregnant with baby #2 now and I have a feeling I will be in maternity clothes really early this time too!

I began wearing maternity clothes when I was about 4 and a half months with both my pregnancies. I am now 34 weeks with my second and have gone through 3 sets of maternity clothes. I now detest them and can't wait until I'm out of them. Believe me your time will come and for sure eventually you too will wish you were not in maternity clothes.

I think I was about 4.5 months. However, I was wondering why I was so small and not showing and he told me that the 1st pregnancy takes more time. Your stomache/uterus is firm and has strong muscles around it. So if you have a secound child then your uterus just pops out more because it remembers the process. Cool huh. So that is why some of the women wear maternity clothes sooner with the secound. I'm 7 weeks pregnant and I already think I will need them sooner than my first!

I am 31 weeks and just bought maternity clothes 2 weeks ago.
I was using my fat pants with a rubberband around the botton and buttonlope before that. But the last two weeks my belly really started to pop out.

Well everyone is different it really depends on your size before hand. My breasts have always been large so I needed maternity clothes at 4 months just to get my chest to stay in a shirt. Now at 23 weeks I love them.

At about 22 weeks, before that I could wear regular pants unbuttoned then maternity pants, I still wear regular shirts. Just an FYI the Bella Band is awesome you wear it over your regular unbutonned pants!

26 weeks with my first!
