Before we commit sin, do we have a chance to deliberate about what we're about to do? How does it work?. Sorry folks, this is more like ethics, at any rate we all know ethics is a field of Philosophy.

Depends on the sin. A sin or evil deed is a very subjective concept. Remember, good and evil do not exist outside our limited conceptualizations of the world. All we can do is personally pick ones we like the most and societally pick the most pragmatic ones.

The deliberation of such actions all depend on the situation. Like 1st degree pre-meditated murder versus 2nd or 3rd degree spontaneous murder.

What is good is love. Do you know what love is? Love, paradoxically, is death....death to self that the other may gain. When you love someone you are giving yourself to them through patience, kindness, humility, selflessness (amongst others). It is the greatest commandment...but also requires much pain..."love suffers long." The meaning of life is to love. Evil is the selfish life...when you live for yourself and your own gain and step on everyone in the process you have broken the first commandment and you know not love nor God.

"Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." 1 John 4:8

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. -- John 12:24

sin is when we give into our own lusts and desires. It's either premeditated, or out of instinct, never by accident.

so taking a knife and slitting a throat = sin
usinga kitchen knife to cut carrots, knife slips, cuts someone= not sin (but still regretable)

even giving the okay to a sin is sinful. The theif and the guy who stood there, watched the theif steal everything and said "eh, survival of the fittest" are both at fault

good and evil are just symptons or descriptions of extreme selfishness vs. those with empathy and give back.

Evil comes forth due to ignorance, the people who partake in it, do not realize that being selfish causes unhappiness, not what they seek when they partake in evil, this is the 'natural hell' that symbolically in the bible represents unhappiness...its the colloquial 'hell when you look in the mirror'...leaving you empty handed at the level of the soul...having no feeling of purpose, belonging, and therefore frustration not having found what they search....evil is just desperation for happiness...but going down the wrong path, out of ignorance.

Thsoe that are good, not only benefit the most in the long run, due to the inherent sense everybody has to sense other's as good, but their happiness comes mainly, from that of giving, not of taking (this is psychologically proven).

its also the best policy in order to receive back. If your selfish, things dry up pretty quickly. Its simply doing the things we should. Help those who have helped us. Be courtuous to those around you...

self-improve yourself, and the Universe, will naturally (as it was designed that way), give back to you. There is a reason why neural hardwiring was set forth in the direction of justice. When injustice occurs, and its not reprimanded, anger and rage are instilled in the soul due to emotional hardwiring, this is to ensure justice prevails. Due to this in-built system, those who are good are rewarded, those who are bad, are reprimanded. Not only by others, but by their own systems...people feel happy, by giving to thers (studies), if they are selfish, they feel purposeless, frustrated and unhappy.

If you are good, just because the way things are directed in the Universe...The Universe will guide you to 'the way'. This is the natural set of things. Empathy of sorts...because you know the other person is a human being...and this understanding, is what makes us one...once you realize this, you realize its the natural flow to be good, because we are all one when you empathize...its the understanding of how another might feel. This understanding, is the sense of oneness.

to go against the natural flow weathers quickly....you cannot swim up-current forever...quick bursts of strength cannot last for eternity...so they subside quickly...use the direction of the forces of nature...follow the flow, and self-improve yourself...and you will conquer mountains..

you will be like the water, which, with time and perseverence, molds rocks, shapes mountains, and changes the shapes of matter throughout the course of time....with luscidity of your mind, you will see, that the quick bursts of energy, can change something in impatience only temporarily...but since the direction of the Universe is in a certain way...what you have done...only goes back to the way it was...and since you have to put enormous amount of energy to go against the Universe...you find yourself tired quickly...so goes the saying..

Its just not very intelligent to be evil, but mainly,

Evil is just ignorance..Its a lack of wisdom and knowledge.

In essence, evil is only a vice, vice ways of thinking due to ignorance.

The wise have lived throughout the course of history. The good, although may not win in every situation, is the evolutionary winner in the equation. Because good is what keept ourselves alive...When justice of law becomes injustice, and chaos is better than the law...empires crumble---why? because the people realize that if the laws do not stand for justtice, than they might as well revert to chaos. When laws stop representing what we all know to be true, then its better to go to chaos, at least there there is no sham.. its pure.
