We've recently started using our On Demand, and we realize that some of the movies (pay-per-view) are not free. However, they state that most of their library of movies is free. Does anyone know if you are charged when you play a movie that is currently playing (for free) on a Premium channel?

When you order a movie, if you have the premium channel on your cable package that the movie is currently being played on, then it is free. Lets say you have the hbo package and you want to watch something thats on showtime on demand, you will have to pay for that. when you order, it tells you on the top of the screen if its free, or the cost of it(usually $3.99).

If it shows free, it will be free. I've watched a lot of free HD movies and I've never been charged. Even under premium channels, there are some free movies, you just need to browing around. Things are changing from time to time.

I've had Comcast cable with On Demand since last May. On one of your menu screens, it should state "Movies" and "Free Movies". If you choose from the "Movies" section, you probably will be charged for it. It probably states on the screen if you will be charged and what the charge will be.

You are not charged if it says "Price: Free". Also, if you accidentally order a movie that you don't want to pay for, call Comcast immediately and they will take the charge off of your account.

You shouldn't be...before you click to watch it, it should go to an information screen about the movie and say towards the top if it is free or like $3.99. But usually if it is free once you click on it, it should take you right to the movie.
