What are the best and worst iPod players/speakers? I'm looking for the clearest sound and strong bass. Any first hand experiences??

I have an iHome and i think for it's price its pretty good, but if you're looking for something more than average i'd go for something better, but to warn you most things for iPod are really expensive. If you don't kind spending money on some Bose speakers I heard they are great quality and really clear.

No question, the Logic 3 I-Station 8 has INCREDIBLE sound. It is by far the best one out there. I have one and it is highly reccomended. Very clean sound and definetly a strong bass. I got a great deal off of:

I wouldn't go with anything else.

We have always used the compact ones that you can travel with, they fold down into one flat piece. They are great, we love to play electronic music on them and it takes a beating. They are loud and don't get static at all when you turn them up. They have been all around the world with us and we haven't had one issue. If you want something to work from home I think they are better than that dome looking thing and since they can fit in a backpack they are great to travel with. You only have to buy one product this way.

I'm not quite sure, although, as a spongebob lover I have the spongebob iPod speakers. They work very well, although I suggest the iHome or another item, probably something done by the iPod makers themselves.

honestly, i have yet to see an ipod dock that is not pitiful. Yes, that includes the outrageously priced bose ones.

the best bet is to hook it up to your home stereo system via a stereo jack->RCA inputs.

my ipod sounded 100x better on my logitech Z5500 that i paid like 270 for than the $220 bose ipod dock i played it on.

and surroud sound :)
