...between Ronaldo, Adriano, Klose, Crespo, Fernando Torres (guys who will not likely be with their present clubs next season but who will also command quite a bit of cash). And why would you take them?

(I have a hard time believing Ronaldo will pass his physical to get out of Madrid)

I guess few people have actually read the entire question.

Henry, Drogba, Villa, Johnson, etc, weren't options.

Lampard, if you want people to believe you don't have some mental disadvantage, get someone to read the message to you before you type.

Adriano was once a striker with such great potential. He seems to have lost confidence. He is getting to an age where his talent should be maturing but he seems to be a lesser player then where he once was.

Of all those strikers, I think the best on pure talent are Klose and Crespo. Klose had a great World Cup and is following it up with a real good season so far. Crespo is Inter's main threat, and he is playing great football.

If I was able to have one on a very short term contract (say loan or 1 year), I would take either of those two. However, as any transfer brings with it the prospect of long service for a club, age is also a factor. I think Klose is turning 30 within the next year or so and Crespo is already there. Torres is just 22, and has a lot of talent and potential.

Of all those strikers, I would take Torres. He has long term prospects but is also a striker that would slot in well with Man Utd. Ronaldo is past it, Adriano has seemed to have lost it, Crespo and Klose are both solid but getting on and Torres is quite talented yet young enough for a good manager to mold into World Class.

Out of the strikers you have mentioned I would take Fernando Torres becuase he is the youngest of the bunch and can still develope. Adriano is also a great striker but I feel he is inconsistent although he is starting to return to his old form. I don't think Klose is particularly good against great players. He was not very succesfull against Barcelona or Chelsea and in world cups he usually scores against the weaker teams.

Fernando Torres to Liverpool.

I think he's a brilliant young player. It's hard for me to say how well he'd do at Liverpool, or how well he'd adjust or how long it would take, but I think after he settled in place he would become a major key player for the club.

The first striker I thought about though was David Villa, but he is not on your list.

Bellamy mite score 20 targets if he's given the appropriate ammunition yet in spite of that, u defintely choose anotha striker as Crouch and Fowler are no longer prolific and u can not assure that targets from the midfield are goin again. apparently Benitez is after Dirk Kuyt and am uncertain bout him as he did no longer galvanize me interior the international Cup. yet he ought to have some thing approximately him for Van Batsen to play him earlier than VanNisterooy

As a city fan i'd even take a f**king donkey at the moment gotta be better than the combined might of corradi/samaras/dickov

City would never be able to afford any of those players so there is no point in even thinking about it

Ronaldo ( Brazil) he is the highest goal scorer in the world, the best i have ever seen, when he gets the ball you just get so excited you want him to score, he is a brilliant striker. I dont think he will be replaced anytime soon.

Definatly have to go with some young talent that you could bring up and turn into a superstar. Maybe Eddie Johnson or ever take a chance with going for Drogba, or Kuyt both have been hot latley.
