I'm a lawyer who does personnel work. If you signed a release, the employer gets all medical information. The language of your release of information is important, though, in giving you a correct answer. If the release is narrow, they only get medical information relating to the disability. Mental health information is probably protected, also. However, if the release was for everything, the employer gets everything.
