K2 in the Himalayas is the second highest in the world, but Mount Olympia in mars is twice as high as mount everest. And mount everest is NOT in the himalayas mountain range since mount everest is on the border of Nepal Tibet and China and K2 and the Himalayas is west from there.

Measuring from the base of the mountian, Mauna Kea in Hawaii is the secon't tallest, but a lot of it is underwater. The 2nd tallest non-submerged mountian is K2 in the Karakoram range in Pakistan and China .
