Does anyone know of any comedy clubs in essex that put on a show on a Saturday (and that aren't completely rubbish)

only place i know is the circus tavern.

Circus Tavern is quite, good, I actually done a spot there once, good acoustics, plus it's reasonably priced too.
Keep in mind that there are so many things for a stand-up comic to discuss, and many people with many different tastes too, so it's impossible to make everyone laugh at a gig, you just have to turn up and hope the talent is speaking your language.
