i tried it but i got stuck!!! heres what i did.
180-x-25
155-x equals the supplement but then you can find the actual #, making
155-x+x-25=180
155-2x-25=180
130-2x=180
-2x=50
x=-25.
If i plug the x into (x-25) and (155-x) then i get a negative # for (x-25), and you can't have negative degrees. What am i doing wrong?
Please show me what you did step by step like i did.

The correct answer is 180 - (x-25) = 205-x degrees. There is no data given which will permit you to get a particular value for x, so there is no need to try to do so.

It should have been 180 - (x - 25) = 180 - x + 25 = 205 - x.

if you are finding the supplement for a variable angle (involving x), your answer is also going to involve x.

180 = y + (x-25)
y = 180-x+25
y = 205 - x

So than angle would be (205-x)

You're close, but i think you wrote teh supplement equation wrong... two angles are supplement if they add up to 180...so if you have an angle x and an angle y it should be
x + y = 180

The way you wrote it, it could also be 180-x -y = 0

(180-(x-25))=180

180=180-x+25

180=205-x

180-205= -x

-25=-x

x=25
