my sister has a tmobile phone and when she wants to check minutes she dials:

it doesnt charge you minutes tho

you can look at the bill and see the usage details for every line on the account. It is very rare that you run up an overage that high! Maybe increase the minutes in your monthly plan.

I remember when I had t-mobile it was *646# or #646#, they may have changed it sinse then. You can call 611(customer support) to find out.

I think its *646* or #646# if no, then just call customer care just to be sure or look in your phone guide book.
