What can I do to get my blog popular?

I know some ppl who have very popular blogs and lot of ppl go on it to read. One person even gets paid by advertisers his is so popular. What can I do?

Add some graphics to attract interest.
It also helps to be a decent writer.
If all this fails...nudity always works!
