A question for Republicans...?

the past 6 years Republicans controlled the house and senate. now that Democrats are in control of both...what was the biggest accomplishment we seen with Republicans in control?

Probably the most significant positive piece of legislation has been the Bush tax cuts. More than anything these are responsible for today's strong economy. Probably the worst thing passed is the Medicare Part D prescription drug program.

The Republican Congress was way too timid in my opinion. Not passed were any solutions to the pending Social Security and Medicare funding problems, repeal of the Federal Estate Tax, etc.

His proposal in the State of the Union Address just given to eliminate the tax free status of employer sponsored health care combined with a $15,000 family exemption for health care for everyone was brilliant for reasons too numerous to describe here. Unfortunately, this should have been done years ago when it had a chance of passing.

Look around you the economy is better than ever and the government functioned. Now the democrats have taken over and the rhetoric instead of action has started again. The division within the democratic party will prevent anything from being done because the various factions are jockeying for position for 2008. The first 100 hours as a big joke and now congress is wasting time passing away time on negative issues with no meaning. Why do they not use the time to get things done? Answer they are democrats.

Lowest unemployment rate of 4.5%.
DOW setting record highs.
The economy is good and the deficit is shrinking.
Saddam Hussien removed from power.
Several high ranking terrorist's killed.
Iraqi's elected their own government.

These are a few important accomplishments, although a lot of people will just continue to complain and lay blame.

I'm prepared for many thumbs down.
