ok my son thought he deleted his profile on x box 360 but sadly deleted games that were saved !!! argghhhhh is their anyway that they can be retived ??? or has he got to do them again?

Did he just delete the profile? If thats the case then THAT can be retrieved along with any acheivements/gamer points he had. Any downloaded content he had can also be downloaded again for free once his gamertag has been retreived (ensure no profiles are signed in, and select 'recover gamertag from xbox live', youll have to enter your sons hotmail password).
As for the saved games, i find it painstakingly slow when deleting unwanted saved games from the hard drive so he couldn't have deleted all of them by accident, also, saves are profile restricted, meaning he wont be able to use them unless hes signed in on the profile that created them, they may not even show up in games.
And for knowledge's sake, data can't be 'deleted' of a harddrive, it is simply hidden or flagged until it's overwritten by a new file.
Technically, those saved games are still there, you just cant get to 'em ;)

when you delete a profile you have the option to not delete saved games, so they are either still there in a different location or they have been deleted with the profile because your son my have rushed through it and deleted the saved files without knowing.

He's got to get them again. The 360 is just like a computer, you delete something and it's pretty much gone. If he backed them up to a computer on your network, he can copy them from there. Otherwise he's, unfortunately, SOL.

The same thing happened to me once. I'm sorry Ma'am, but his saved game data has been deleted. There is no way to get them back. Sorry.
