Don't worry. Just work your hardest and be happy you got a new job. Don't tell your new boss anything unless they ask. Then just explain your self. Don't trash them just tell them you don't understand what you did wrong to be treated that way. Tell them that if you knew you would've tried to fix the problem.
hope everything goes well
:)

Given the legal environment these days, previous employers are generally very reluctant to say much at all in references except the bare facts (attendance record, etc.) otherwise they could leave themselves open to a civil case, tribunal, etc.
In my experience as a recruiter, the references are not a whole lot of use either way, except to check that nothing illegal was done.
Anything else is your word against theirs and if they liked you at inrterview, that will usually count for more

If you fail to list this on your application and your employer finds out, they could fire you. If you put it on you application and they want you for the job, there is a pretty good chance that they will call for a reference.
As an employer, I would appreciate the honesty. How you deal with an uncomfortable topic in a job interview can be a good indicator of the strength of your character.

I heard that a new employer is not allowed to ask specific questions of your old employer. They basically say, would you re-hire this person? Unless you did something really bad, I'm sure the old employer would say yes. If your old employer has any heart or understanding at all, they would cut you some slack about how you left.

Did you tell your prospective employer why you left your last job? In the past when I have hired people I ask why the left their last job, if they did not then say nothing. Most professional people only say how you did your job and unles you where a major pain to work with they will not say anything negative.

~~~ Never say anything negitive about your previous employers. Don't talk about what other employees do or dont do. If you do your best and work hard and dont gossip,,,you will get more respect from your new boss. If you talk negitive about your last boss, then your new boss will not trust you as much because he may think that you will talk about him behind his back.
If you've been offered the job already, why are you worried about a reference that it seems you do not need?
