When they say we have the best health care system in the world, it is for whom and why they say this to us.?

Don,t we all know the well to do can get star teratment for their health care any where in the world, so who is getting the best of this health care, the corporations and the Doctors conglometers and the Insurance lobiest/.Every one I know is leaving in constant fear day by day with no health car. Give me health care or give me death can apply here, beacuse leaving in fear will not equate to freedom at all. Freedom without fear of authorities is onethnig, but without a basic health system is the same situation.

The best healthcare is available in the US. That doesnt mean we all get it but it is available. We have more choices which increases our likely hood of a sucessful recovery. There is a reason most of the breakthoughs in medical feild occur in the US. Free markets increase choice and competion which breeds better and cheaper products. Fact: Healthcare does cost more in other countries, the difference is that most of that cost is paid through taxes instead of out of pocket.

Why should I, a healthy active person, have to pay for the health problems of an overweight lazy person? You reap what you sow.

Who are they that are saying we have the best health care system in the world? The last I heard we rank about 39th in the world. In a country that is supposed to be so advanced in almost everything, why are we not the best? If you have money, it is the best. For the rest of us, good luck! So my guess is that the wealthy are the ones saying it's the best!

The "well to do" get "star treatment" in any endeavor they care to participate in.
That's one of the perks of a free enterprise system. They get to drive a new Mercedes and I get to drive an 8 year old Ford. When it comes to medical care - they still get the Mercedes Care Plan and I get the Ford Policy.
It's still the best care system in the world.
