I'd be very, very cautious and want to get to know the guy before I made a judgement. After all, if the happiness of your daughter is at stake, you can't just go with your gut instinct. If the guy seemed stable, and serious, that's one thing. But if he's just looking for some action with a young girl half his age, I wouldn't rush to set an extra place at the dinner table next Christmas. Love's more important than age, but that love would have to be there before I'd give my approval.

What I have learned is that you are best served by only giving advice when asked. She will do what she pleases regardless of what you think or say. She is an adult and may resent your intrusion.

you could always tell your daughter what you think, but ultimatly its her decision being shes over 18. You just have to respect her thoughts, feelings and everything....doesnt mean u have to like them but she is your daughter. Just try to sit down with her and try not to come off confrontational with her about it and just let her know how u feel.

If he had good job, treated her well and that she was happy. Then I would be happy. You talk bad about him, you just might chase her away.
