Does anyone know why my PS2 version of Burnout 3 won't recognise a 16mb memory card?

The memory card works fine with other games, the PS2 recognises the card, but the game just ignores it and says there is no memory card installed? Very frustrating!!

cause you should get a bigger memory card maybe its ful
