I was never taught how to study.... help?

Question

I am in grade 12 and relized when I went to study for my diplomas that I don't know how to study. I need some help as i am completely lost and I still have 5+ diplomas to write and they are still a few months away help please

study is just a word for learning what you need to know. Just focus on the stuff that most time has been spent on and make sure you know it well. If you need to do research on anything, wikipedia is great for most things but you'll find everything you need in a library.

Highlighting key points is a great way to remember important stuff.
Go through the material you want to study and condense it...make notes or summarise it. Simply doing this will kinda entrench it into your brain while also give you something to revise the day before the exam.
Speak to other students and maybe have a study session together. You could go over key points and discuss questions or topics which you are likely to be tested on.


And last but not least..........psychologists have proven that you are more likely to remember something you study in a pleasant or pleasantly unusual surrounding. You are highly unlikely to remember much of what you study if you do so when drunk or stoned!

Just study how you do best
A few things I suggest though is
1) Don't listen to Music or try to watch TV while doing it; I've tried it, it doesn't work
2) When you study, don't just read the information, think about it and try to make little hints in your head about it, this really helps
3) Study at a good pace, don't try to do one assignment all at once

Well I Use study notes....i go threw what i have learned and what might be on the test and i write it all down...
Then using the study notes i just read them over....making graphs/pictures will definatley help you memorize then better!

Review all of your notes to get a clear understanding of the
material you have covered in class. Keep going over the
material. That is called studying.

you don't really learn how to study, you just do. I find it hard to beleive that your in 12th grade and you don't know how to study.
