okay maybe I forgot to tell you that she has already been to the vet and they can't seem to find anything wrong with her! You people can be really harsh to people.

There can be many things wrong: spinal injury, insulin shock, adrenal problem, etc. Everyone else is right, get her to the vet.

Is the paralysis constant? Can she use the legs at all? My ferret will sometimes pull themselves around dragging their bellies on the floor and their back legs behing them. They literally are scratching their bellies. Is that what she is doing?

How old is she? Could she have fallen climbing in her cage?

Ferrets have very long spines in proportion to their bodies. This makes them more vulnerable to back injury. Kind of like a wiener dog. Or hip displasia? What ever it is it sounds like a nerve is somehow pinched and creating a paralysis. I think you should call a few vets to get pricing for an xray. This would be the best way to start.

Hi
I worked at a vet's office for a few years and although I don't remember the name for it, this kind of paralysis can happen to the little guys. It can turn out to be very serious, so you will want to take your ferret to a doctor very soon to check it's bloodwork and have a full exam.

Take the ferret to the vet and see what he says.

Sorry to hear your pet ferret is ill. Best advice take it to your vet. It could have a spinal injury or a stroke. Many things could warrant it's condition. Also it's age could be a factor. Good luck with your beloved pet.

EGADS WOMAN! Take your ferret to the veteranian. We are NOT vets. We don't know what is happening to your ferret.

DO your ferret a favor and take her to the vet.
