I am asking this because my friend has a hamster gender:male and she put it in a cage with another male hamster and they both began to do sexual things. I also saw a report about animals in other continents and countrys as apes and such are acting in homosexual ways.

they don't consider it homosexual- they just want to display dominance or "have fun". Males are notorious for this- a more dominant male (dog, horse, cat, hamster, dolphin, rabbit, etc) will get aroused and usually try to mount the offender to show dominance. I have seen a stallion rape a gelding (fixed male horse) and then he got kicked- and didn't try again after that.

Also, female dairy cows, when in heat, will mount each other in the pasture if there is no bull around. Pretty much every animal will do something people would consider homosexual, including birds.

what you saw is probably not homosexual action, it was territory-related fighting. male hamsters are very territorial and will fight to the death.

as for the report on other animals, if they do act upon each other in homosexual manner, it is probably establishing physical dominence.

there are two things that you need to understand. one, being homosexual is a choice. the more simple-minded an animal is, the less likely it could even comprehend, let alone act out in a homosexual way. something as simple as a hamster, no way!

secondly, there are very few animals that engage in sexual relations for pleasure. humans, humpback whales, and dolphins are the only cases i have ever heard of. i am positive that hamsters will never be added to this list. this means that hamsters would never be in a homosexual relationship, as they mate ONLY TO REPRODUCE.

i hope this helps. i assure you that your friend's hamster is straight, and that what you saw was just fighting.

canines don't have the comparable mentality as people. Their intercourse force and responses are consistent with hormones, no longer emotions or desires. Gender confusion is something people be afflicted by, no longer various of that occurs contained in the animal international. Humping and different acts people label sexual propose something diverse contained in the animal international.

Yes they do. I have 7 calves here and they are all climbing on each other all the time, regardless of what sex they are. And my two male dogs keep getting confused and mounting each other. I think it's a pretty normail thing and I don't think it's exactly homosexual . They are just acting off smells usually.

They can. My friend's male cat did the same things with her other male cat. I don't think all animals are gender confused, only some, but I don't know why.
