He is Jewish, very sporty, loves football, plays pool. Ain't got much money, actually I don't want to spend more than £50. Any original ideas?

Is being Jewish a clue or hint as to the present he may like?
What the hell is the relevance of his religion? Unless you were thinking of buying him a ham sandwich?
How long have you known him and why would you bother to ask total strangers? You above all people should know or ask his mummy.
Jump his bones - most males appreciate that sort of present.
Or jump someone elses bones, make a few bucks and buy him a really good present.
Glad to see you can put a price tag on your feelings - 50 pounds, boy he must be a real hottie!!
Its NOT the amount you spend, its knowing what to spend it on that counts!!!
The best present I ever got was totally free - a walk along a sandy beach with someone that loved me - try it you may like it..

When I was dating my now husband. He bought a Topco sex swing for Valentines day last year. That is my suggestion, If you did, it would be day he would never forget. I experienced my first big - O, it was amazing, so I just had to marry him.
From this woman's point of view the swing we got made my butt sore. It was like sitting on a swing at the playground. It made my legs go a little numb. I guess from a man's point of view. well lets say the point of view is what counts to him :)
I have been asking about the RHW swing I seen on ebay. The RockHer World Swing looks like it is built more from the woman's point of view. Looks like this is the one we are going to get next. It just looks so comfy. I found it by doing a search for "sex swing" on ebay. I have gotten one answer to my question I have posted here that made me make up my mind to get one for sure.

Well, first you can do something to express your love towards him by writing him a letter or something like that. And if he is really into football, why don't you buy him a shirt of his favorite team or a football ball:D! Believe me, he'll love it:D!

just incase he thinks he has another admirer.
get him to take the snap before you have a good time together so he'll know what the minimum to expect is,
you might want to get new bedding for afterwards.
