This is just out of fun and curiousity more than anything. For example, if I could be any mythological create I think I'd like to be an ice dragon. But that's just me personally. But as we all know there lots to choose from in mythology. Elf, Phoenix, Firebird, Unicorn, Vampire, etc..

A phoenix because you get to experience the whole process of aging, but you are also immortal at the same time.

A Faerie or a Gargoyle.
A Faerie would be neat because they are little nature spirits that help in the forest or wherever and mess with people's heads when humans trespass in the woods. They are friends with animals which would be great. They have healing abilities and other magical powers. Plus they are so cute and seem harmless until they get upset... then watch out!
Gargoyles are so powerful, strong and are like sky warriors. They sleep all day in stone form and protect at night. They seem wise and honourable.

I know it seems like I want the whole spectrum of abilities and the two I chose are at both ends practically.
Admiring both, I think I'm leaning more towards the faeries because I love forests and animals... there, I want to be a Faerie! lol! They are nimble, helpful and can get things done with time to be mischievous!

That was fun! Thanks!
Mythological creatures are great aren't they?!!

Hm...Don't know if you'd consider it a mythical creature, but I suppose it is...
I really really want to be a shape-shifter (but without their usual evilness). They can change what they look like at will, and get past almost any (non-magical) security. They live really long lives unless they get killed (in fact, I've even heard some tell that they're immortal); and as one I'd be able to live for practically forever and do anything (such as, read every book in a library then fly to another, sell my skills to people needing a spy to infiltrate enemy strongholds, etc.) Not to mention, I'd be able to be any other mythical creature (well...look like them at least, not really BE one...)

But if not that I'd be an Elf (not the stupid santa elves...) They live long lives; are in tune with nature; have amazing looks (the entire pointed ear, high cheek bone thing); and they have a brilliant amount of knowledge and amazingly powerful magic..

Heh, I love mythology.

Vampire, just because you can maintain some kind of human guise. Imagine how much stuff you could learn if you were one?
I'd probably be a veggie-vamp, though, but hey, a free meal's a free meal. I'd love the sense of freedom that comes with it, plus having the power to be able to help people as well as be a little naughty :)

Kinda off the subject but If I could be any animal I'd be a grey wolf because I think they are really cool

I like seductive women vampires, but don't think the whole killing-people-thing would work for me.

I would probably be a mermaid because they are graceful and intelligent, like dolphins. I love the comfort as well as the thrill of being in the ocean and its waves.
It doesn't sound terribly exciting, but it seems more realistic or attainable than dragon, etc, if you could even consider it realistic!

I would love to be a phoenix. The idea of soaring high in the shy and begin able to cure peoples wounds and also burning up and becoming young again really appeals to me
