...because you hate carrying it around in the store more than you hate freezing to death when you're outside?

Hey Becca, first of all, I don't have a BF, I have a husband. Second, the question has to do with the inconvenience of carrying the coat, not with how you look carrying it. Duh.

I do it because of the state of the world that I live in. The most time I spend "walking around in the cold," is the distance from my car to the door of wherever I'm going.

My car is heated, my place of work is heated, is it really gonna kill me to walk 20-30 feet without a coat on?

Up until this year, i was the coat girl, i always had a coat on, but this year, i have gained weight, not good, and i don't seem to be cold when other people are. I have started a new diet and am working out atleast 30min. a day, and am losing the weight fast, but still only feel the need to go out in a t-shirt and sweatshirt. In the past when wearing a coat, and shopping, wow! too warm and just something else to carry. Not to mention once you have a few things in your hands, you have to put your coat back on, because you can't hold it, then you just sweat or get really hot. NOT worth it, a run to the car in the cold is not bad.

Depends on the walk. If I am super close to the doors and it is 40 deg or above outside, I'm coatless. Other than that, I'll sweat in my coat. I HATE the cold, and a jacket that has been in a cold car takes FOREVER to warm up.

Yes, I've walked around in the freezing cold just to avoid lugging around a winter coat while I'm shopping.

I also have avoided using an umbrella when heading to the grocery store, when it's raining because I don't want to flop a soaking wet umbrella into my grocery cart or haul around a wet umbrella while shopping.

No, I just buy a light coat that keeps the cold out and yet is light enough that I don't get hot in the store.

I do service work. In and out of buildings all the time. I hate having to put coat on then off all day. I just leave it off and go in

Never! I dress for the weather. They have proved that people who do not have a lower resistance to virus such as cold & flu when their body temp. is lower. We live in a climate where it gets quite cold & being prepared for being caught out on highways in a vehicle Not being properly dressed can be deadly .

I actually go with my jacket, and around the house, I'm also barefoot. I'm barefoot year round, so even in winter, my feet are very tough. In a store, the heat would drive me nuts, so I put my leather jacket in the cart. I don't freeze outside. I'm swedish, and we're vikings, and are used to the cold. ~~~~

Yep. If i'm going to the mall or something inside, I'll leave my coat in the car so I don't have to carry it around.
