I am! I am proud to live in a free country. I am grateful and proud of those that came before me and fought for the freedom I now enjoy and for those who are currently fighting for the freedom of others, where people can have different ideas and voice those ideas.

Yes I am very proud to be an American & wouldnt wanna be or live anywhere else!
"And I am proud to be an American, where at least I know Im free & I won't forget the MEN who died & gave that right to me. So I'll gladly stand up next to you & defend HER still today, cause there ain't no doubt...I love this land! GOD BLESS THE USA!"
I have nothing against President Bush. I think he is doing his job the way he knows how. After 9-11, people thought he was wrong for declaring war, but what was he supposed to do. They attacked us. He can't just stand by & let them get away with it. If he did, God knows what would've happened to the USA since then. And Im sure he has good reason for the war goin on now. No one likes war, but sometimes that is the only way to defend your country & your freedom & your home land. I support OUR Troops for what they are doing and for what they have done, and Im PROUD to be an American!,

Proud, yes. Not in the archetypal, classic sense, no. But I considered myself both lucky and proud. My main concern is that we as Americans do not let that go to our heads too much. Being proud of America is fine so long as that also means we are proud to fulfill the duties and responsibilities America has to its own citizens and the rest of the world. I am proud to be a citizen of a nation with so much potential, and I take pride in doing my best to make sure it uses that potential for the betterment of all.

Proud? Yes. Stuck up? Heck no. I've lived in another country and people everywhere else are just like us. They speak different languages, but they aren't so lucky (blessed) to have been born in a place with as many opportunities. Be grateful.
Do your part for America. Vote. Don't litter. Have your children immunized by two and please spay and/or neuter your pets.

i think that that is a sticky question. I am glad I live here, but have been considering other options if the state we are in does not change for the better soon. I don't want my kids growing up in fear, something I can see coming if things don't change....

It's starting to be less like a Lee Greenwood song and more like a George Orwell novel everyday!

But that's just my opinion.

I am very proud to be an American. But it does not make up for the shame I feel for helping to elect Bush

I am. I walked around Europe with an American flag on my bag so I wasn't confused for a Canadian. All I got was positive responses.
