You totally can, with adapters from Radio Shack. If you want stereo, you have to also get a 'Y' adapter. All these are inexpensive. I assume you're trying to play thru your stereo.
The only problem is stereos don't normally have enough pre-amp power to drive a guitar at any decent volume. You need a pre-amp. If you have a distortion or overdrive pedal, the newer ones have a 'mixer out'. Use that. If they don't have that, distortion sounds really bad thru a stereo. If you want to play clean, you got to have a pre-amp or a compressor.
I hope I've given you some tips that will make it happen. If you use the right equipment, you can play along with your stereo, just like you were on the record!!!

you could buy an adapter. however, you probly are wanting to either play it through your stereo or find a cheap way to plug into a computer maybe? either way there are issues of voltage, a guitar is made for a hi-z plug. this allows it to be amplified correctly. also, guitar amps have a certain tonal range which is much more broad on a stereo or anything that doesnt model an amp speaker, they also distort a certain way......to sum up, it wont sound right!

No, because there is nowhere on the guitar to plug in an RCA cable.

Yes if you go buy a 3 dollar adapter.
