I believe we should stomp out the Tectonic Plate Movement.

Generally, its not. We know (surmise) how Pangaea was assembled from the current plates. And very precise current studies show which way the plates are moving, relative to each other. We can then postulate which way they will move in the future. Its not an exact science. Friction at the plate boundaries plays a big part. If we could predict when the pressures along the plate boundaries would overcome the friction between them, then we could predict earthquakes.

Plate tectonics is a very complex science. Talk to a structural geologist to really find out what is happening.

This is just a guess.... Trying to make predictions in a system with so many variables, many of which we have yet to understand completely, leaves a lot of room for chaos, error etc.
