What can you do with a theater degree? I live in L.A. and have a bachelors in theater from U of Florida.?

What is you skill set? Are you a set designer, a writer, an actor, a prop man? Like with any degree you need to list your skills on a sheet of paper and then you desires on another. Make a plan as to where your skills would be needed. You are in LA, there are employment opportunities everywhere. You do not need to be a food server. Find the local theater group and network with them. volunteer with them to get some resume building experience. Only you know what your burning desire is. Seek it out and make a plan to make it happen for you.

There is not a heck of a lot that you can do with a BA in theater. You could go back to school, acquire an MFA or a Doctorate and teach in a University. You could also apply to a college or university to get into a teacher certification program to teach in K-12. Other than that, it is wait tables, go to auditions and hope. One other possibility is going into politics.

You can go into advertizing or set design. Also, you could open up your own theatre and become filthy steenkin' rich.

Or you can keep going to auditions and see if you have it. I would sell real estate and keep going to the auditions.
