Only 0.3% of the area of South Korea is water. There are no lakes, and only a few rivers: Nakdong, Han, Geum, Imjin, Bukhan, and Somjin. South Korea does border three bodies of water: the Yellow Sea to the west, the South China Sea to the south, and to the Sea of Japan (or East Sea) to the east.
