no Dell, you'll end up paying for stuff you'll never use. Try ibuypower.com, they are great gaming pc's for the money. Compare some of their deals to dell or other companies, they are very good.

Built your own, ready to go brand names aren't good for gaming, most vcards in them are cheap cards and HDD not enough, you buy a Dell or any other pre built and you'll end up spending another $300 on a good vcard later anyways and wishing you had better HDDs than the options the manufacturers gave you.

I would say to either build your own, or go with HP, which is the same brand as Compaq, which is what I own. If you want to know my reasoning, then just give me an email.

Have someone, who knows what they are donig, build you one. Do a little research and reading to find out what you want and what you need. Will make a lot better computer than a store bought one. My opinion.

I prefer Dell, especially for laptops. You can take a laptop to the coffee shop to do all those things plus people-watch.
