Any community college will take you as long as you have a high school diploma. Besides the first two years in any college, public or private may basically be the same. You will most likely be taking your liberal art courses, or required courses before moving onto your major. Get a really high gpa in the community college and you go anywhere after that. Even Harvard, if your gpa is high enough. Don't give up and not go to college, community college is better then no college at all. You almost can not get any decent job, or higher paying job without some kind of college degree.

Try looking to some smaller schools, maybe private schools, or some "lower ranking" state universities. All you can do is apply. Many good college directories will tell you the average GPA of their students and the average SAT score. You can judge from there whether the school is for brainiacs or not.

You might try checking out state and city university websites. Also, you should really take the SAT or the ACT. Because it's a below-average GPA, you'll probably need a high score from one of those tests to qualify.
