I am a democrat because I believe in defending and protecting our civil rights. I also believe that we should not be told how to live, especially if our actions are not going to hurt anybody. I really dont believe that we should go to war to clean up a job that our father couldnt. Nor should we go to war to not clean up a job our father couldnt. I really dont think that I should be told whether or not I can have an abortion. I also value education and not in the republican way, where they like to say they value education. I also am smart enought to be pro-life but realize that I am not in charge of making that decision for other people. And to sum it up I believe that we should have the right to have civil rights!

I have always been and always will be the Only True Way to Be- A Democrat. Why? Because my family and I care about the real people of this country-the working poor-those who don't have access to affordable good health care, those who live in areas that our current administration has totally ignored. (Does Hurricane Katrina ring a bell)??? Our 18 year old daughter is also very politically/community active. She couldn't wait to register to vote. She would have been allowed (obviously) to register and vote however she felt even if she didn't agree with us. Thank G-d we raised her right and she is educated enough on her own to agree with living a life as a democrat. She cares tooooo much about others to ever be a republican. Democrats Will Rock The Vote in 2008. So many people complain about Bill Clinton BUT no one died when He lied. Think about that!!!!

You know at this point I am Republican, but I'm starting to think its just all a big joke no matter what you are. One big idiotic fight is not getting a thing solved on either side. People have to get united and forget about being Democrat or Republican. It should be about the good of the country. It seems to me we have a war going on right here and its a lose, lose, lose situation.

In the past I have been a Republican, because that is what my parents informed me that I was. Nowadays, I decided to change my view on that issue because I am now disabled and that party does the most for people with disabilities. I understand the national parties, sort of. Republicans believe that you have to work for what you get, and democrats believe that the government should have a say in what goes on.

I am a republican because I share the same values as the party and I completely disagree with everything the dems do.
I am pro-life.
I am against gay marriage and/or civil unions.
I don't think I should have to support the poor with hand outs just because they didn't choose to better themselves with the many opportunities America has to offer. Why should I have to pay for their choices?
I am in complete support of immigration reform. I am tired of all the illegals draining our system of tax dollars they never paid into.
Basically, republicans ROCK!

I'm Republican because:
I want a $20 an hour minimum wage, not a piss poor $6.50
Because US Senator Barbara Mulkuski said black women are all "hookers" (she's a Dem)
Because you cannot spare deathrow inmates and kill babies- it's a contradiction in values.
All Dem politicians in my area are rich realtors who want to develop in the poor minority sections
and kick out the working class.
You cannot refer to a black person as ****** and try to run county comissioner in my district(Gary W, I have the written statement from the witness of this event
Because civil rights groups such as Rainbow Coalition and NAACP get paid with Dem dollars
to hustle black votes.

Right now I don't know which side is safer. Each party has some views that I oppose, but I'm a democrat

Neither and because I'm sick and tired of the same old same old; no matter which party is in power it's all the same.
There's so little difference between the two, why even bother.

To quote Winston Churchill " If you are not a liberal when you are young, you have no heart. If you are not a conservative when you are older, you have no brain." I have both a heart and a brain and have come to understand this simple truth as I have grown older.
