Is it difficult to acquire teaching positions in America with advanced degrees from Canadian universities?

I can't really answer your question, because it really depends on your field of study. Some Canadian universities have excellent doctoral programs in certain disciplines. So just like anyone who does their doctoral work at a US university, your chances of being hired would depend on the quality of your particular program.

You need to ask professors in your particular field of study which Canadian universities (if any) have prestigious programs in your area.

Not if it is a good reputable university... Canadians can be smart too...

A "foreign taste" to your education can be a good think.
