The commute won't be fun.

If you can't get a hotel downtown, I'd look south, near a light rail station.

BTW, the guy saying Denver is conservative was joking. In 2006, Congresswoman Diana DeGette, liberal Democrat, won 80% of the Denver vote. Her opponent was a member of the Green party, the Republicans didn't even bother to run a candidate.

That Chris character is a misrepresentation of Denver. Its not a way out there community but its not that conservative either. At any rate since I25 and I70 (especially I70) run through close to Downtown there is a lot of lodging. You should be fine however there are a lot of surrounding cities. Good luck! Also I welcome the DNC...... Its about time Colorado kicked its strict republican image.

I doubt you'll have any trouble getting a hotel in Denver. The place is silly with hotels. You can't throw a rock in any direction without hitting one. Seriously.

Please don't come for the DNC. Denver is actually a very conservative city and we really just don't want you nice liberal folks here. I have no idea why the Dems picked Denver. It's like the NRA choosing Baltimore or something for their convention.

But, with that word of caution, I still feel obligated to represent my city well with friendliness and welcome and give you an honest answer....

Yes. Hotels in Denver won't be full. They just won't. You may have to stay in the Denver Tech Center--a half an hour south of downtown--and they'll bus you into downtown and there'll be plenty of space available. You can stay in any of the suburbs and there'll be room. I don't know if you'll find space downtown but there are plenty of space close to downtown--and an hour north if you wish--for your Hillary nominating-party.

Just please don't move here. We are a conservative but welcoming city and I hope you like it. I really do. Just please don't stay too long because the natives get restless when Democrats crowd our space.
