nickle,silver,carbon or copper?

It is a toss-up between nickel and carbon. I think it is carbon. Silver and copper are good conductors of electricity. I know that nickel is a poor electrical conductor, since that is why heating elements are made out of a nickel-chrome alloy. So that leaves carbon.

The element least likely to conduct electricity is carbon. The property of a metal is that it conducts heat and electricity and all the choices besides carbon are metals, because carbon is a non-metal.

If by "conduct" you mean serve as a medium or vehicle for the transportation of heat and/or electricity from one point to another, it is carbon. Carbon was initially used in early light bulbs because it conducted heat and electricity so poorly, it became very hot itself, and glowed red hot (neither the heat nor the electricity passed through the carbon; i.e., it didn't conduct). All other elements named are quite good conductors.

All metals conduct electricity, just some better than other. Although aluminium is not as good a conductor as copper or silver, it still conducts electricity far better than any insulator - I think you should maybe look at a different material for this project, such as heat conducting plastic or similar. There are also some glasses that conduct heat but not electricity.

Metals conduct heat/electricity, thus you need to look for the element that has the least metallic characteristics. Since Carbon is not a metal, that is your answer.
hope this helped

I'm gonna guess carbon since they use copper wiring in electrical lines and plug ins and the others are metals.

Carbon, carbon, Carbon.

Carbon is a metalloid.

It is a semi-conductor!!

Get an "A".
