Why does everyone hate abercrombie kids and abercrombie and fitch?

People say:

"Its for clones & unoriginal people" ~ Okay, so if something is in style and looks cute it is un-original? Unless you made your own clothes tons of people are going to have the same or similar shirts as you. I don't care if you go to Hot Topic, Target, etc. So get over that and realize people have the same taste in clothes, and no one is 100 percent unique in fashion.

Its to dark: Only A&F is (a bit) bring a flashh light if you are really that blind, haha

"Its too expensive." - Actually abercrombie kids is the same price as hollister and american egale, not A&F but maybe you're too poor. Its REALLY cheap compared to designer places.

Also if you say you hate abercrombie go into hollister or american eagle, its the same exact style!

So if you still have a good reason to hate abercrombie (kids) or A&F... what is it?

i agree with everything you just said, people who are like that are either jealous, too poor (though it's not even that expensive), or they think that their likings are the only ones that are good. also alot of people say people who shop at abercrobmie are spoiled but that's just what they want to believe, dumb B*tches, i actually work for everything i have.

Well I'm not saying that I hate it, in fact I've been too abercrombie kids before. It has some good stuff, A&F is too expensive for me to buy with my own money.
It's just that Abercrombie is so popular that a lot of people go there. In a typical school maybe 20 kids have the same exact clothing!! I'm ok with that though, the other stores are kind of alike too!!! Like u said.
U gotta admit, it is kind of dark and they play their music way too loud! That's one of the reasons I don't like it there so much. If they turned on some more lights and make it soun like it's not a rock concert, i'd like it more.
Abercrombie kids is not expensive, i agree w/ u, but A&F is! It's not the fact that the people are too poor, it's just that they have the exact same style you can find at A&F at Hollister, AE, or possibly Aeropostale for a better price! Why would someone spend $30 for a top when they can spend like 20 or 15? The only difference is the logo!!! We r talking about people in their teens and 20's idk anybody who would buy designer's clothes.
Well there u have it

Personally, I don't support them because of the whole "naked models in the winter catalogs" thing - like, they sent out catalogs to people that had naked people in it. I mean, really, how dumb is that? Like, it doesn't even show clothes in the picture, so what is the point? So really, I won't shop there because their catalogs conflict with my morals.

I won't give them my money. I'll just shop somewhere else. Really, that's my only reasoning. It's nothing against the style, or the popularity of their clothes.

It's pathetic for people to be like, "OMG you shop at ABERCROMBIE??! What a clone! You are SOO unoriginal". Like, what do they know? They're probably really unoriginal.

Well, I hope you find the answer you were looking for! Abercrombie has cute clothes, and the little moose is just adorable! Plus, if you really like a shirt, you can always buy it in like, 5 other colors because they have so many. Have fun shopping! :) <3

first of all this is such an old debate.... it has nothing to do with money or being a stuck up prep!!!!!!!! the main argment is that everybody has it and its so basic. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE STYLE, and i own maybe 3 abercrombie items and like 4 designers clothing items. i was voted best dressed for my school and it was because i took simple articles of clothing from places like old navy and even wal mart and matched it with something from somewhere like american eagle or polo. you have to keep people guessing. abercrombie and hollister are the same business in case you didn't know and yes american eagle is just like both of those stores but just wearing things from those stores is SO cookie cutter catalog look and basically BORING. and the fact that you would even point out that people will argue because theyre too poor is rude and unecessary, and thats coming from a girl that goes to prep school in new england--if you think whats in stores like A&F is in style you need a reality check!!! every year its the same stuff in different colors or patterns for real style you need to look in teen vogue. and yes everyone does share similair taste in clothes but its about adding personality to the outfit

I hate the store because any time I have ever been in one I can never find anything to fit a womanly body that is a size 12 - 14 which is VERY DEPRESSING. Do they even make anything bigger than a size 10? I am totally average size and they never carry nothing in my size. And as a 31 year old I find their clothes to be way too young and revealing. I got out of that stage when I left college. And I find their quality of clothing to be rather cheap. If I wanted taht quality I would go to Old Navy and by twice as much. $34.50 for a t-shirt? Please...I can buy a t shirt at old navy for like $10.

I would much rather shop at stores like J Crew where I actually find stuff I can find my size in and have relatively the same look and feel.

I can't speak for everyone, but I can say I don't shop at Abercrombie, Amercian Eagle, Hollister, The Gap, or Hot Topic, because they're all exhorbinantly overpriced. To say that they are affordable only when compared to "designer" places is irrelevant. In addition, they are not age appropriate for anyone out of high school, which I can see most posters for this one are clearly not. Nothing would be acceptable to wear to work as a professional.

Well...the only stores I shop at are Army Navy surplus stores (I love cargos and novelty shirts), Marshall's and Joann's because I make most of my own clothes.

Reasons I do not like A&F is because...well frankly I hate their style and colors. Also their fabrics (and this is including AEO, Hollistank and any other store like A&F) are very cheap. Because I sew, I know good quality fabric when I see it and I can be standing in front of the stores windows to know that they use very cheap quality fabric. You can find the same quality and the same styles at a second hand store for much less. Besides...you're only paying the high price because they slapped their name on it. If that same style was at Walmart people wouldn't buy it because it does nothing for their social status.

Also...as I've read and heard from others, they only make clothes tailored to people with skinny frames...in other words...women that don't have all their girl parts because they have a thin athletic build. So why would I shop in a store where I can't fit my curvy hips and butt into their pants?

I really hate most top name clothing stores.

Its overpriced and just not my style. Its also cheap quality and doesn't seem to stand the test of time and the washing machine. It doesn't fit me well and its just blah to me.

Plus, the target audience they advertise to is very bias and racial. They have sh*t store employees and policies. I just don't like the company and its partner companies.

I've also noticed that a good chunk of people who shop there tend to have this strange superiority complex and I just don't like that kind of crap. I don't hate people who wear the clothing or have much against them as I do the company.

Everything can be considered unoriginal depending on how you look at it. That isn't the issue I have with the stores though.

I like Abercrombie and Hollister. But all those stores you said are "the same" and have the "same prices". Those prices are pretty exspensive. A cami for 25 dollars! I shop there ALL the time, but its funny, my mom likes the store more than I do.

I agree with the likes of "KB" and "H.L.A.", their clothing isn't worth it.

The fabrics are disgusting. They are cheap and of very bad quality, they tear easily and don't feel that nice, many are synthetic fabrics.

The clothes are cut for skinny four year old boys. Seriously, they have no shape, they remind me of little boys clothes.

The staff is extremely rude. Mostly because they are discriminating of different cultures and if they don't like your style, they will completely avoid you.

Don't you dare to think that I'm hating because I can't afford it or fit into their clothes, oh dear goodness no. It's because I don't find a point in buying a garment for $88 that took $0.88 to make, that too in sweatshops in 3rd world countries.

Their quality is horrible.

I don't like the brand because the clothing does not fit correctly and are always cut small. I'm a size 6 with curvy hips and thighs... Can't squeeze my goods into those jeans.... and it's in appropriate to wear such tiny skirts....

Besides they are notorious for their mistreatment of african american and asian customers... They were even sued by their own employees for racial discrimination. I want to buy clothing, not be hassled and profiled...
